Rugby, the Scots tame the Lions: Edinburgh-Benetton finishes 24-10

A good first half is not enough for the green-and-whites, the yellow in Duvenage is expensive. Wegner’s goal is useless

EDINBURGH. Edinburgh-Benetton Rugby is valid for the seventh round of the United Rugby Championship. Head coach Marco Bortolami’s men moved to the Scottish capital to face Edinburgh, a team included in the same pool as the green-and-whites. At The Dam Health Stadium, in the first half the game travels in alternating currents and after the first half, several discipline errors on both sides are the masters. The game does not flow so smoothly, there are several fouls on both sides. The first half then ends with the home team above 10-3. Enter Wegner for Cannone and the shooting begins. Edinburgh at 45 ‘marks the third marking of the evening with Kinghorn who cleverly crushes using a defensive error by the Treviso team. It is therefore the turn of Lucchesi, Nemer and Zuliani for Faiva, Pasquali and Pettinelli.

The Lions are two breaks down, but they want to reopen the contest. The Lions look for another try, but crash into the home defense and in the end Edinburgh wins 24-10.
