The competitive adventure among the San Vendemiano Cycling Team juniors has come to its end: to bring down the curtain on nine intense years of top-level activity in the most fascinating youth category was the gala evening set up by the staff and the black management -green within the splendid setting of the Ca ‘del Poggio restaurant.

A decision, the one taken by the board chaired by the very passionate Gino Mazzer, «difficult and painful for those who make cycling their passion and their mission», as defined by the number one of the association. «We started in 2013 with the aim of resisting three years, this adventure lasted for nine seasons and gave us great emotions and unique satisfactions. Now the time has come to suspend the activity of the juniors to recharge the batteries and to relaunch with even more force in the future. It is a decision linked to the difficulties created by the pandemic, by the increase in costs now necessary to support this category and by the attitude of some club that has as its objective the grabbing of the best riders. The San Vendemiano Cycling Team remains alive, continues its organizational activity with four races scheduled in 2022 including the 11th Giro di Primavera for Juniors which will be included in the international calendar. Our company is in excellent health and is preparing for an even more prestigious comeback ».

Clear words are those traced by Gino Mazzer, which open up new and stimulating scenarios for the black-green partnership. To testify once again his closeness to the San Vendemiano Cycling Team was also the mayor of San Vendemiano, Guido Dussin: “Ours is a municipality that makes sport its strong point and this reality, born as a rib of the historic Velo Club San Vendemiano, in recent years has distinguished itself for dynamism and passion. We have a reciprocal and collaborative relationship with Mazzer and the other executives that will continue in the future too ».
