Well in advance compared to the broadcast – scheduled from 7 to 11 February 2023 – the Raiat the behest of the artistic director of Sanremo Festival Amadeus, announced the regulation of the 73rd edition of the event best known and most followed singer in Italy. They will still be 25 i Big in gara, voted by three juries. And there is a novelty for the covers.
The artists competing in Sanremo 2023
25 singers will participate in the Sanremo Festival 2023the same number as the 2022 edition. To be exact, it will be 22 artists selected by the same Amadeus on the basis of the applications received and three other winners of the youth sectionselected in December 2022. The three emerging artists will participate in the Sanremo race with an unpublished piece, different from the one presented for the categoria Young.
The covers of Sanremo 2023
Every year, on the fourth evening of Sanremo Festivalthe artists are asked to perform a different piece than the one with which they participate in the we are. If they want, they can also be accompanied in the performance by one or more guests. For several years, artists have been asked to present the cover of a piece of your choice that represented the history of Italian song. Last year, however, the Festival also opened at international covers. For 2023 it will be possible to present both Italian and international pieces, exclusively, however, among those published between January 1, 1960 and December 31, 1999.
The juries
The votes will be, also for the 2023entrusted to three different juries: press room, opinion poll and televoting.
During the first two evenings of the Sanremo Festival to judge the performances of the artists will be exclusively the pressroom; the vote will be divided as follows: one third for journalists of TV and print media, a third for radio and a third for web headings.
In third evening instead will be the opinion poll jury and the televoting to comment on the race. Each vote will affect the ranking of the evening for 50%.
The fourth episode will be – as already said – dedicated to the covers and to vote will be all juries. 33% will affect the final result of the evening judgement of the complete press room (print media and TV, radio and web), for 33% that of the opinion poll jury and 34% of the public from home via televoting.
The final evening
In the final evening it will be only the viewers to be able to vote. There classification it will be added to the cumulative one of the previous evenings. The sum of all rankings will elect the three artists which, overall, achieved the highest scores. On the final trio will open a according to televoting which will lead to the final positions of the podium and to the winner of the Festival.
