The story of Sic arrives in Italian cinemas with two event dates: today and tomorrow. In the Cuneo area he will stop in Bra and Cuneo with two special evenings in the company of the director from Cuneo who signed him: Alice Filippi. Together with the screenwriter Francesco Scarrone he will be present at the screening and will speak before the beginning of the film: tonight at 9 pm at the Impero cinema in Bra and tomorrow at the same time at Don Bosco in Cuneo.

“I’ll be happy to go home after the exciting press previews on 13 December in Milan and the absolute national premiere on 21 in Riccione” says the director. In his documentary the story of how a sample is built. And the effort of becoming a timeless myth.

«I didn’t want to tell Sic at the height of its splendor. But Marco in the effort to build his wonderful talent ».

Telling about him has also given her a lot. And now the beneficial implication is also discovered: at the beginning of the year all the material reproduced faithfully to the original to make the documentary – from the child Marco’s overalls to his bicycle to the helmets – will be auctioned and the proceeds donated to charity Marco Simoncelli Foundation onlus.

In theaters, on the other hand, Sic promises to be an intense, vibrant film. With a unique style: dreamlike. “No talking and recognizable actors – Alice anticipates – but shapes and details, movements in which it is possible to trace Marco and the other protagonists so as not to overlap the concreteness of the archive material”.

Thus the interviewees narrate the 2008 season, the year of Marco’s rebirth, through the story. Starting with his father, Paolo Simoncelli, his girlfriend Kate Fretti, the companion of a thousand challenges at the “quarry” Valentino Rossi, the driver Mattia Pasini, Carlo Pernat, Paolo Beltramo and many others. All enriched with commentary by Guido Meda, the Homer of two wheels.

«The hardest thing was gaining the trust of Marco’s parents, Paolo and Rossella. My luck was to be born and raised in a family passionate about motors, since I was a child I spent the weekends on the track with my dad and my mom following my brother Luca, a racing driver. These are experiences that you can only understand if you have lived them. In the world of motorsport, the driver lives in symbiosis with his family, at any level. I understand very well when Paolo says he felt at one with Marco when he was on the track. They are unique bonds ».

In Bra “Sic” it will also be possible to see tomorrow at 6.30pm and 8.45pm while in Cuneo the screening times will be at 6pm and 9pm both today and tomorrow.

The documentary, 10 years after Simoncelli’s death, is also out in Cinelandia di Borgo San Dalmazzo (screenings at 6.30pm, 8.30pm and 10.30pm today and tomorrow). The complete list of rooms is on www.nexodigital.it.
