The preparation of the Serie C Sedico Volleyball began under the orders of coach Josh De Salvador, on the beach volleyball courts of the tennis club.
There are several news. After the lift Elena Barp (from Spes Belluno), Giulia Rot, a central (but, if necessary, opposite) from San Donà di Piave also landed in Sedico. In this first phase, Rot will be on trial. A couple more negotiations remain underway to complete the roster. Meanwhile, on Wednesday evening, Gloria De Kunovich also began preparation with Sedico: at the end of the summer, the Sedicense will return to play in Sardinia.
On the front of the exits, after Francesca Cadorin and captain Federica Scopel, even the free Jessica Zallot has decided to stop. Fagro and Fant moved to Castion, while the young Zago and Buzzatti got married to Volleyball Belluno.
“We wanted to support the will of these two youngsters to give them the opportunity to compete with an important championship like B2”, explains the president of Sedico, Walter De Barba. Then there are the numerous confirmed players. Among these, the free class 2005 Noemi Deon will have to undergo a small knee surgery and therefore, initially, she will be replaced in that role by the spiker Martina Ligi, equipped with excellent fundamentals in reception.
«We are very ready», assures coach Giorgio De Salvador, «the club is ready and I’m sure the girls are too. Last year was a very important experience: for many girls it was the first year in C. We are returning from a summer that was a bit troubled for the management of departures, arrivals and confirmations, but we hope to be able to play a whole season, putting the problems we all know behind us ».
De Salvador will be joined by Andrea Massenz (assistant coach), Andrea Da Poian (trainer), Stefania Zanon (physiotherapist) and Matteo Rossa (osteopath).
“It will perhaps take some time to find the amalgamation of last year”, comments De Barba (present at the official meeting together with the other leaders of the Sixteenth century: from Marco D’Antimo to Servilio Casanova and Giovanni Bortoluzzi), “and not I necessarily expect great things from the start. But I am convinced that ours is a nice mix between young and old that in the long run will at least confirm what we did last year. Two bets? The free Noemi Deon, on whom we have focused a lot, and the very young Giusti: from them, as from all of them, I expect a good growth ».
On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September the team will go to the Monaco Sport hotel in Santo Stefano di Cadore.
