The Vipiteno poker at Merano sends Cortina to the semi-final championship. The Hafro reaches the final four of the Italian title again this year thanks to the 4-1 victory of Vipiteno over Merano. A point was enough for the Merano eagles to overtake the Ampezzo players in the standings and enter the top four in Italy, but the Broncos imposed their game, won the victory and did the squirrels a huge favor. Cortina will thus play the semifinals starting from 11 January and will be able to fight for the 88th Italian championship together with Asiago, Renon and Gherdeina. Coach Machacka thus hits the first goal of the season, albeit with difficulty, and can now concentrate on climbing the rankings in the Alps with the last races of the year. Hafro will be busy on Tuesday at the Olimpico against Zell am See but in the meantime all that remains is to celebrate the semi-finals of the championship and thank Vipiteno for the gift. –
