Youth activity also suspended with regard to volleyball. After having started the various provincial under 13, 15, 17 and 19 championships (Fipav), on Monday 22 February and played just two or three rounds of the championship (depending on the various categories), Covid-19 is once again hitting, first with the postponement of many matches, then with the suspension of the season, until the situation has improved and so the Canavese clubs have returned to training remotely, as explained by Ezio Carazzato, president of Montalto Dora, a militant club in series C female: «The current one is the third week of stop of all our youth activities – says Carazzato – we have 45 female players belonging to the various under 13, 15 and 17 women who will return to train online. For the minivolley we never picked up again ». Even Letizia Paonessa, president of Canavese Ivrea volley, a militant team in women’s C states: “The situation required a stop to the activity and we stopped with all categories: we have a team of Under 13, 17, 19 and the women’s First Division and two instead of Under 15, one from Fipav and the other from the Uisp promotion body, for a total of about eighty athletes. Our hope is to resume business after the Easter holidays. The only formation that trains is the first team, but with a reduction in training, from three to two per week ». –
