NAPLES. The Guardia di Finanza of Naples, as part of an investigation coordinated by the economic crimes section of the Neapolitan prosecutor’s office, seized at the disposal of the Neapolitan investigating judge, financial assets on bank current accounts for over 1.6 million euros to Marat Football Management, company of the agent Mario Giuffredi, who looks after the sporting interests and the image of professional Serie A footballers, including defenders Elseid Hysaj, Mario Rui, Di Lorenzo, Cristiano Biraghi, midfielder Jordan Veretout and forward Gennaro Tutino ( none of whom are involved in the investigation). Giuffredi and 5 other people are under investigation for fraudulent declaration and issuing of invoices for non-existent operations. For the investigators, the company used false invoices in 2018 and 2019 for a total amount of over 3 million euros, with an illegal tax saving for an amount equivalent to the one seized. The invoices were issued by amateur sports associations for fictitious services provided to the company under investigation and, to give a real semblance to the operation, the company would have paid the invoices through bank transfers to the associations’ current accounts, which however would have withdrawn the corresponding sums they returned them in a fractional way through accomplices to the legal representative of the company.
