Today is the last day of competition, the Azzurri always at the top of the ranking by nations The Spaniard overthrows Andrea Verona. In the trophy club Pavia near the podium

RIVANAZZANO TERME

Euphoric atmosphere for the grand finale of this 95th Six Days of Enduro, so far a real triumph for the Italian patrol, which today will face the sixth and last day of competition at the Cassano Spinola cross-track (Alessandria). Also yesterday a great day for the Italy team, who honored in the best way the last day of racing along the dirt roads and mule tracks of the Val Curone. Once again a special stage was canceled, the first Stellara cross-test, again due to the dust, which practically never abandoned the competitors in this edition of the race.

Garcia returns as leader

In the overall standings of the day, yesterday the Spaniard Josep Garcia returned to the lead, who in these days has undoubtedly shown the quality of an absolute champion: for the record, yesterday four wins and a second place in the specials for him. However, the Italian champion Andrea Verona was not outdone, who also gave a great show yesterday: for him still a good second absolute time of the day, with four second places and a victory. Third place of the day for the Swedish Makael Persson ahead of the Americans Robert Taylor and Dante Oliveira and the other blue Matteo Cavallo. In the ranking by nations, Italy remains in the lead, waiting for today’s race which, the fans hope, will sanction the most awaited result. The same goes for the Junior Trophy: here too Italy retains the lead in the standings and can afford, like the senior national team, to cultivate high expectations.

Yesterday, however, the Americans returned to be seen, with Dante Oliveira winner of the day in the category standings, ahead of the Azzurri Matteo Pavoni and Lorenzo Macoritto. In the women’s trophy fifth overall victory for the American Brandy Richards, with the national team of stars and stripes increasingly launched towards an important affirmation.

Moto club Pavia, near podium

On the Trofeo Club front, with 163 teams in the running, the provisional team classification definitely smiles at the Pavia formations: in particular, to keep an eye on the Moto Club Pavia Senior team, made up of Guido Conforti, Niccolò Bruschi and Niccolò Conforti, who face today’s test in fourth place in the team just five seconds from the podium. Very positive also the ranking, always provisional, of Moto Club Pavia B, 17th in the team classification, and Moto Club Pavia Junior, excellent 19th.

Scrolling through the provisional ranking updated at yesterday’s stage, the Moto Club Pavia A team is in 39th place, closely followed by the excellent Busco Bros, a team made up of brothers Francesco, Paolo and Riccardo Buscone. Also shining is the Moto Club Paolo Bianchi, from Castana, a team made up of Luca Rondini, Francesco Ciccotti and Alessandro Pozzi: for them a great test that has led them in the last two days to climb up to the 52nd position, which they will defend in today’s test. 72nd provisional position for Moto Club Valli Oltrepo, and 92nd place for Moto Club Valle Staffora. Mc Pavia C closes the group, in 121st provisional position. –
