Covid enters Roland Garros. With a short press release, the French tennis federation has made it known that the Croatians Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic, seeded couple number 1 in the double table of the Paris slam, have tested positive for the coronavirus. Under the tournament security protocols, the two players were wiped off the scoreboard and quarantined.
Pavic and Metkic’s debut was scheduled for today against the Spaniards Feliciano Lopez and Jaue Munar: their place has been assigned to two other Spaniards, Andujar and Martinez. Pavic and Metkic, winners of 6 tournaments, had recently also triumphed at the Internazionali in Rome.
