The 15th edition of the Davide Arcidiacono Memorial is coming to life

The fifteenth edition of the Memorial Davide Arcidiacono, a five-a-side football tournament, scheduled in Comiso on 17 and 18 June at the Zona 167 field, is coming to life.

The event is organized by Paolo Modica and his staff to remember his friend Davide Arcidiacono, who died prematurely in August 2008 at the age of twenty-five.

It starts on Saturday 17 June at 16. Sunday morning, at 9, the start of the knockout phase with the first match of the quarterfinals. In the afternoon, however, the two semi-finals are scheduled, with the final scheduled for Sunday at 21. Also scheduled is the performance of the Born To-Be Crew 2.0 dance school which, in Davide’s memory, also created a choreography dedicated him. Throughout the event, entertainment will be provided by the Gi.Ro. Round.

In addition, there are many new features planned. Above all, the twelfth edition of the quadrangular-exhibition of the Soccer Schools, Pulcini category. Asd Kasmene, Esasport Grammichele, Asn Academy Caltagirone and Mazzarrone Calcio the four formations competing in the quadrangular “whose real goal – declares Modica – will not be the final classification but to remind the participants and the public of the true values ​​of sport and healthy competitive competition ”.

Another fixed point of the event is the collaboration with the Telethon Foundation, now in its eighth edition. Once again this year, in fact, the organizers have activated the project “Football in solidarity … Together we can”, in collaboration with the Telethon Foundation and with the patronage of the FIGC. Many prizes were up for grabs, including autographed shirts for Enrico Chiesa from Juventus, Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta, Dennis Johnsen from Venezia and the sports kits from Roma and the Italian national team.

New to this edition, however, is the project “All together for life” in collaboration with the local Italian Association of Family Members and Road Victims, led by Biagio Lisa. During the Memorial, in fact, the most valid works carried out by the pupils of the primary schools of Comiso relating to Road Safety will be mentioned.

Many, therefore, the moments of union and leisure planned, without however neglecting the main objective of the event: to remember Davide Arcidiacono.
