On January 13, Beijing time, the AFC officially released the AFC Champions League competition schedule for the 2022 season. The East Asia Division will be played in a tournament format. The East Asia Division will start on April 15, and the final will be played on February 19, 2023. The venue is currently undecided, and the AFC will use the tender method.
This season, there are four teams representing China, namely Shandong Taishan, Shanghai Haigang, Guangzhou and Changchun Yatai. Among them, Taishan and Haigang will participate in the draw as the first team, Guangzhou team will fall into the second team, and Yatai will participate in the play-off on March 15.
