Saturday morning the start, the race will end in Montebello after an encroachment in the Alessandria area
VOGHERA. It took twenty years to revise the historic logo of the 4Regioni Anciennes to peep into the motoring panorama of Pavia: the wait will end on Saturday morning when the starting procedures for the race will begin in Piazza Duomo in Voghera.
Now in its 15th edition, the prestigious race for historic cars was held for the first time in 1984 and won by Giovanni de Filippi on a Fiat Stanguellini Zagato; the last time in 2001, with success of Sergio Sisti on Austin Healey Silverstone. In between, 13 other editions and as many winners: Giorgio Safranez, Fiat Frua Sport 1100; Francesco Guasti, Porsche 356 Carrera 2; Bruno Forese, Fiat Balilla Gold Cup; Ugo Rancati, Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider; Maurizio Donadoni, Abarth 1000; Gianfranco Panizza, Renault 750 Sport Barchetta; Enrico Francisi, Porsche 356 Speedster; Bruno Ferrari, Abarth 750 Zagato; Angelo Mezzadri, Porsche 356; Fabio Salvinelli, Triumph TR3; Valerio Bocelli, Panhard 750; Gianmaria Aghem, Lancia Fulvia HF. The idea was, in 1982, by the then owner of Aci. Pavia, Siropietro Quaroni, as a side event of the very popular Rally 4 Regioni.
The 2021 edition will start around 9.45 am, touching many roads made famous by the legendary 4 Regions, from Salice Terme to Rocca Susella, with a further passage to Voghera, probably due to the reorganization of mid-race, and an encroachment in the Alessandria area. Finally, the vintage cars will reach Montebello, where the farewell dinner will take place at Tenuta Bellisomi followed by the awards ceremony.
“We are very satisfied, we wanted to organize a major event for the 40th anniversary of the Carducci Club – says the president Andrea Guerrini – we are grateful to the police and local administrations, who have shown sensitivity and collaborated with us”. –
