The addiction conference restarts. Dadone: “Alarming numbers and statistics”

by admin

The National Conference on Addictions returns to meet after 12 years. This edition, the sixth in its history, will take shape in Genoa on 27 and 28 November and will be entitled “Beyond the frailties”, because “the frailties are not only human, but of the health system, of the legislation and sometimes also of the positions taken », Underlines the minister for youth policies Fabiana Dadone presenting the initiative at a press conference in Rome. The objective of the two days will be to provide Parliament with a tool to evaluate any changes to the regulatory framework concerning illegal substances and, at the same time, to implement an action plan on addictions.

7 technical tables will meet in Genoa to elaborate proposals on criminal justice, prevention, therapeutic communities, reintegration into society, cannabis for medical use and scientific research. «We owe it to the young and very young who are increasingly at risk of being“ swallowed up ”by addictions – says Dadone -. The numbers and statistics of recent years highlight an alarming trend that requires action by the entire country system: from health to school, from justice to the family, from the world of sport to work, up to the scientific and civil community “.
