The Chinese team dominated the first stop of the Diving World Cup in Montreal, Canada, taking home nine gold medals out of a possible twelve. China Sports News reported that the Chinese divers showcased their skills and teamwork, sweeping the competition and solidifying their dominance in the sport.

On the last day of the competition, three finals took place, with the Chinese divers once again proving their prowess. In the men’s synchronized ten-meter platform final, Lian Junjie and Yang Hao secured the gold medal with an impressive score of 457.23 points. The Chinese team outperformed their Mexican and British counterparts, showcasing their synchronization and precision in every dive.

In the men’s single three-meter springboard final, Wang Zongyuan emerged victorious with a total score of 549.50 points. His teammate, 19-year-old Zheng Jiuyuan, faced some challenges but displayed great potential for the future. The Mexican and British divers took home the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

The women’s ten-meter platform final saw a thrilling showdown between Chinese divers Chen Yuxi and Quan Hongchan. Chen Yuxi came out on top with a total score of 415.35 points, while Quan Hongchan settled for second place. The British diver rounded out the top three, making it a tough competition for all participants.

With this impressive performance, the Chinese diving team is now setting their sights on the next stop of the Diving World Cup in Berlin, Germany, scheduled for March 21st to 24th.
