On Saturday in Friuli an authentic Friulian arrived as leaders and little changes in substance if today the Devil has slipped to second place. One of Milan’s athletic trainers is Roberto Peressutti, born in 1967, from Godia from Udine. The “prof” has been working on Stefano Pioli’s staff since October 2019, since the Emilian coach sat on the Rossoneri’s bench. It can be said that, within two years, he too has done a great job. Peressutti joined the group of Pioli after having worked for twelve years with the same age Marco Giampaolo. The Udine athletic trainer collaborated with the Abruzzo coach from 2005 to 2017: significant experiences in Ascoli – where he also coached the former Pordenone coaches Domizzi and Paci – Siena, Catania but above all Empoli and Sampdoria, with whom from 2015 to 2017 he great satisfaction in the top flight is removed.

Speaking of Pordenone, the “prof” was then part of Bruno Tedino’s staff at Palermo (2017-2018) and then stopped and returned in the autumn of 2019. The Rossoneri opportunity was born thanks to the excellent relationship with the athletic trainers at the service of Pioli, Francesco Peron and Matteo Osti. The first in 2019 chose to work with the national women’s football team: thus, with a free seat, and following the exoneration of Giampaolo and the call of Milan from Pioli, this opportunity developed and materialized thanks to the relationship of esteem between Peressutti and the “prof” Osti. It is clear that the arrival in the ranks of the Devil and the results obtained with the Rossoneri colors represented the apex of the career of the Udinese professional, also destined as coach Pioli to extend his contract with the club until 2023.

During an interview with Messaggero Veneto, released after an excellent first season at Milan, he told what it meant to coach a champion like Zlatan Ibrahimovic: «He has an incredible personality and pushes you to give your best – he said -.
