On June 28, the first Hulunbuir Games for the Disabled came to a successful conclusion at the Hulunbuir Special Education Center. Vice Mayor Huang Feng attended the closing ceremony.
In his speech, Huang Feng expressed the hope that the majority of disabled athletes can carry forward the spirit of not being afraid of difficulties, not afraid of strong players, and daring to fight on the field to their work and life, and to encourage more disabled athletes to integrate into the overall economic and social development. At the same time, it is hoped that all localities, departments and all sectors of society will continue to carry forward the humanitarian spirit, continue to care and support the development of the cause of the disabled, and comprehensively create a strong social atmosphere of respecting, caring, and protecting the disabled.
It is reported that this Games is the first comprehensive disabled sports event held by the Municipal Disabled Persons’ Federation since its establishment 32 years ago. A total of 14 representative teams and more than 100 people participated in the competition. They participated in 5 major events and 42 individual events. They competed for 84 individual champions and runners-up and 6 team champions and runners-up, creating a record for the initial results of the first Paralympic Games in our city, reflecting the The cause of the disabled in our city is developing vigorously, reflecting the good trend of continuous improvement of the level of competition.
