Paolo Gallo is the absolute winner of the first edition of the Rolle run urban trail, a 21 km foot race held yesterday, Sunday 26 June and organized by the Rivarolese company Durbano gas Energy. The runner of Atletica Rivera, club of Almese, completed the journey between the municipalities of Samone (departure and arrival), Salerano, Fiorano, Val di Chy and Loranzè in an hour 21 minutes and 55 ”: a clear victory that di Gallo, who gave 10’12 ” to the second classified, Claudio Zanin, standard bearer of Durbano Gas Energy. Tired from fatigue, Gallo states: “It was a very training race, the route is nice to run also because it is correctly marked by the organizers, with the most difficult stretch being the one in Val di Chy, in the area around the lake. di Alice Superiore, while the less demanding stretch was the first part of the route, the flatter one. I had a good margin on the direct rivals, but I didn’t want to decrease in intensity and I gave everything ». Scrolling down the rankings, we find another Canavese in third position, after Zanin, that is Fabrizio Attardi, a Castlerun rider, who finished in 1h 35’36 ”. Fourth overall the first woman, Ghisio Mastewal, one of the youngest runners present with her 23 years: the athlete of Atletica Saluzzo took 1h 38’48 ” and at the finish, she told Samone: “I did a little ‘of effort, but I enjoyed it. It was a nice atmosphere ». 45 runners at the start, with the top ten which is then completed by: in fifth position Matteo Mutti of the Gray Wolf team (1h 39’22 ”), followed by Daniel Ionel Ciobanu (individual athlete, 1h 41’57 ”), Lodovico Dematteis (Durbano Gas Energy, 1h 43’44 ”), Dario Pasta (Libertas Forno, 1h 45’40 ”), Alessandro Beata (Team Peretti, 1h 48’34 ”) and Paolo Repetti (Atletica Novese, 1h53 ’03’ ‘). In the women’s field, on the other hand, after Mastewal, second Deborah Boffa of Castlerun (1h 57’50 ”), third came Barbara Negrari of the running group Città di Genova, who finished in 2h 01’53 ”. –
