«I know that the president – I still define him like this even though he is now deputy – Nicola Giusti would have liked to keep me at all costs. After that other decisions were made, both by the company and by myself. I preferred to go home, as I saw an interesting growth opportunity in Campodarsego. In any case, no problem, God forbid ».
How did you experience the sporting end of Union Feltre in favor of a single provincial team?
«It is useless to deny the regret of no longer having the verdegranata colors on the pitch every Sunday. I grew up a lot there. At the same time, I think the project carried out is stimulating and interesting. I don’t think it’s easy at all to unite three clubs like Union, Belluno and San Giorgio Sedico, but with time the results will come ».
The last championship was suffered, until the salvation obtained in Campodarsego. But you have had many beautiful moments when you were playing here.
“True. But beyond the sporting aspect, I carry within the relationships established over the years. The reference is to special people, see Graziano D’Incà or Mauro “Broche” De Menech, whom I will gladly greet on Sunday. And to many others. I received a lot from the Feltre environment, in fact the off-pitch relationships still continue today ».
Anyway on Sunday no discounts, right?
“Absolutely, I come up to do battle, like my comrades. We come from the home defeat against Montebelluna and therefore we are aiming for redemption ».
10 points, the same booty as the Dolomites. What are the objectives of Campodarsego, which at the beginning of the season it was difficult to frame as potential?
«The intention of all is to leave behind the difficult last year, which culminated with the salvation reached almost in extremis. This means confirming yourself in the category as soon as possible. However, we have very good players, some of whom came from outside the group and therefore less known by the experts in the group. We could have collected a few more points, but it is always uncomfortable and complicated to face any opponent ».
And what do you think of the opponents on Sunday?
«In the meantime I see Corbanese always scores (laughs, ed). He deserves it, I’m happy for him, he’s a wonderful person. In general it seems to me a well-built team, then it takes time anyway and it gives me the impression that this first year will serve to lay the foundations for the future. In short, we will have to pay attention. But let’s come to Belluno to win ».
