Madiotto and companions put on the ropes by Arzignano: Baggio arrives too late Fyda makes Bonato dry from outside, then the Equatoguinean and Calì make De Biasi dance

If on Wednesday Montebelluna managed to win their first win of the season and snatch the pass for the second round of the Italian Cup, the second consecutive defeat arrives in the league. In Vicenza, Fabbian and his companions sell their lives dearly, but are forced to surrender to Arzignano, a candidate for a role of absolute protagonist in Group C of Serie D, which manages to establish itself thanks to a feat of one of his talents, Fyda, and a very deep bench that managed to make a difference in the second half. Mr. Bordin’s team, on the other hand, remains short of points and will try to reverse the route next Sunday against Union Clodiense Chioggia.
At Dal Molin in Arzignano, Montebelluna approached the match in the right way, making the hosts tremble already at 2 ‘when D’Arrigo offers a good ball in the center of the area to Madiotto. Too weak, however, the conclusion of the number 7 that becomes easy prey of the yellow-heavenly goalkeeper. After a positive start, however, Bordin’s boys lose the field under the blows of Giuseppe Bianchini’s team who for the first time looks dangerously in the parts of Bonato at 11 ‘with a good choral action ended by Calì who kicked however slightly high above the crossbar. Immediately afterwards Moras also tries for the Vicenza players, this time it is the Montellian goalkeeper who puts the piece in place and deflects the Arzignano conclusion for a corner. The game then stagnates a bit in midfield with several errors, on both fronts. However, Montebelluna tries to break the balance, arriving with many men from the parts of Bacchin in the 25th minute and the net swells when, however, the action of Prodeco had already been stopped for an offside. It starts again and the cold shower arrives: Fyda’s big right from the edge that Bonato can not help but watch end up at the bottom of the bag. It is a hard blow to take for Bordin’s team that feels a timid reaction in the first half final, but never really worries the home eleven.
At the resumption, Arzignano returns to the field with determination and closes Montebelluna in their half. The doubling of the hosts thus comes after 15 ‘when, from a lineout, Moras is left free to turn around and sink into the Treviso area, then serving Nchama who kicks, hits the post, but then the ball crosses the goal line and there is the 2-0. Then there are also a bit of bad luck and a mistake by Bonato in the third yellow-heavenly goal: at 34 ‘Calì goes in contrast with De Biasi on a ball that came from the left, touches and the ball rises creating a mocking parable and slips between the crossbar and the hand of Montebelluna’s number one. In the final minutes, however, Arzignano lowers his guard a little and Fabbian and his teammates immediately take advantage of it to try to reopen the game: on an insistent action Baggio finds the 3-1 goal in the 41st minute.
But time is up and Mr. Bordin’s team returns home empty-handed. Defeat that still leaves the Montellians in line at zero altitude, together with Ambrosiana, Este and Levico Terme. –
