The recent arrival of the Under 23 Giro d’Italia in Nevegal

After a year of stop the Giro del Veneto returns and, as in 2019, it will be decided on the roads of Belluno. The event for Elite and Under 23 was unveiled yesterday, which is about to restart after being canceled last year. The one that will be staged from Tuesday 29 June to Saturday 3 July will be edition number 29 and will be organized by Oes by Adriano Zambon.

The Giro will start with a 17.3 kilometer team time trial starting from Cà Venier and arriving in Cà Tiepolo, in the heart of Porto Tolle (Rovigo). On Wednesday 30 June the caravan will move to the province of Verona for the Valeggio sul Mincio – Valeggio sul Mincio: an undulating fraction, suitable for coups de hand that will have its fulcrum on the famous Ponte Visconteo. The third stage will unite the provinces of Vicenza and Treviso with the Trissino – Castelfranco Veneto which will run in memory of Giuseppe and Abramo Rubega. Another fraction that will wink at the sprinters the one that will present only one gpm, that of Priabona, and that will close in Piazza Giorgione in Castelfranco Veneto after 131.5 kilometers. The fourth stage is more demanding, which will start from Montegrotto Terme (Padua) and, after facing the gpm of Castelnuovo on the Euganean Hills, will reach the final loop of Trissino (Vicenza) characterized by the last uphill kilometer.

In any case, the name of the final winner will be decided by the fifth and last stage that will take place all in the Belluno territory starting from Sospirolo and arriving in Falcade which includes the ascent of the Valle del Mis and the double passage at 1,299 meters altitude of Forcella Aurine .

“With the support of the Veneto Region, the municipal administrations and our sponsoring friends, we have created a balanced race whose main purpose is to promote the territories we are going to cross,” says Adriano Zambon. «There will be five days of competition, all interesting, full of history, art and charm: we have chosen challenging but not exaggerated tracks to allow all the athletes to stand out and have the opportunity to fight for success. It will be an uncertain race until the last stroke of the pedal just like it happened two years ago with Ravanelli who won the final success only on the final slope that led to the summit of Nevegal ».I.T.
