The Giro delle Coste turns 50 and celebrates Zanella and Da Rin Zanco

One hundred and fifty competitors on Sunday in Calalzo gave life to the Giro delle Coste, the very classic of Cadore and Belluno mountain running born in 1972.

Fifty years of history, therefore, for an event that the Marciatori Calalzo group has restarted after the two seasons of stoppage due to Covid. Fifty years of history that, on the eve of the race, in the town hall of Calalzo were celebrated together with the winners of the event over the course of this half century, winners with important names such as, for example, those of Maurilio De Zolt, Dino Tadello and Lucio Fregona. As for the competitive notes of the Giro delle Coste 2022, in the men’s field victory of Osvaldo Zanella over Gabriele Del Longo and Aldo Vascellari, while among the girls Martina Da Rin Zanco had the better of Rebecca Bergagnin and Alice Peruz. In addition to the competitive race, a non-competitive one was also held.
