On the 28th, the Chinese men’s basketball team announced the list of 12 players who had lost the FIBA Olympic Games through the official WeChat and Weibo platforms. Zhou Peng, Zhou Qi, Zhao Jiwei and other famous players were on the list. Zhu Mingzhen and Zhao Yanhao were unsuccessful.
The final list of 12 people is: Xu Jie, Hu Mingxuan, Zhao Jiwei, Zhang Zhenlin, Zhou Peng, Ren Junfei, Liu Chuanxing, Shen Zijie, Zhou Qi, Lu Wenbo, Wang Shaojie, Wu Qian.
In the FIBA Men’s Basketball Olympics, 24 teams were divided into four divisions: Victoria (Canada), Split (Croatia), Kaunas (Lithuania) and Belgrade (Serbia). There are 6 teams in each region, and the champion of each region can advance to the Tokyo Olympics.
The Chinese team is divided into Group A in the Victoria Division, and the other two teams in the same group are Canada and Greece. After the end of the single round-robin competition in Group A, the top two of the group entered the next stage of the competition and competed with the top two of Group B in the Victoria Division for the final spot.
On July 1st, Beijing time, the Chinese team will face the Canadian team first, and the Greek team on the 2nd.
