Lomellina has redone its look in view of the next season of the Second category and has accelerated on the market to prepare the team. After the farewell of the coach Diego Santoro, who moved to San Giorgio, Marco Cremonesi was chosen as the new coach, fresh from his experience on the Viqueria bench, while his deputy will be Daniele Gervasutti. Four reinforcements also arrived with him, all players who played in the overseas team and who followed the coach on his adventure in Mede.
These are the defender Meazza, the midfielder Di Pinto and the forwards Forulli and Vitaliano. The return of the Nese brothers is also official: the goalkeeper Luca Nese and the striker Nico Nese, two guys from Mede who last season played in the Second Piedmontese category with the Occimiano shirt and who decided to return to the field with the team from your country.
To greet Lomellina instead, in addition to the former coach Diego Santoro, were Aguggia, Ricchini, Rossi and Pici. In the last season, Lomellina fought for a long time in the top quarters of the championship standings, dreaming of the top positions for several months, then falling in the final and barely managing to play the playoffs. «In view of next season, the first goal is to form a compact group that has fun and can get away with satisfaction – underlines the Lomellina sporting director, Gabriele Motta -. From the start, we do not set ourselves particular goals in terms of ranking. We want to have a good championship and then we will see where we will be able to arrive, without particular problems of the classification ». An ambitious Lomellina therefore to try – albeit with various changes in terms of technical staff and squad – to give continuity to last season which was positive despite the decline in the final which did not allow the playoffs to be played. –
