Who better than a priest-footballer could take care of the diocesan pastoral care of sport. For this the bishop Franco Giulio Brambilla has nominated don Riccardo Cavallazzi responsible for this particular area of pastoral care, and at the same time deputy di don Gianluca De Marco as a referent for youth ministry. This is one of the (few) innovations in the duties of the diocesan offices arranged by the bishop. Don Riccardo, who has been in charge of the San Vittore oratory in Intra for years, is part of the priests’ national football team.

Don De Marco and Don Cavallazzi succeed to don Marco Masoni e don Riccardo Zaninetti, who became parish priests of Trobaso and Pallanza respectively. Instead. in the same diocesan office, Fr Alberto Andrini, Fr Marco Borghi and Fr Alessandro Cosotti will be collaborators for the pastoral care of vocations.
The new director of the School Office is a lay person: Paolo Usellini, principal of the Sacred Heart Schools of Novara, Romagnano and Prato Sesia.
