He nearly triumphed in the NCAA final in front of 72,000 spectators, he was, despite playing almost nothing, in one of the most glorious clubs in Europe, Olimpia Milano, with a guru of this sport, Ettore Messina. And now here he is again at Palaverde with Pesaro. It is not the first time as an opponent, however. “No, I had already been there with Milan, it was behind closed doors and I played for 6-7 minutes – the boy from Pistoia remembers – I have a very different time frame compared to before (in Milan 1.6 points in 5 minutes, now 6 in 16 , ed), so I hope to be able to help my team as much as possible for the time that will be allowed. As a role, however, we are there: basically I play as a play, with Larson I am also a guard ».

Is having more weight in the team what you were looking for?

«Yes, I was looking for more responsibility, in Milan I lacked match-rhythm, the possibility of helping my teammates win, with my contribution or maybe just with a play. In Pesaro I found who was willing to give me this opportunity ».

How have relations with Treviso been in recent years?

«I would say good: after two years in the United States, I also returned to Treviso the year before Covid. Maybe they are not as constant relationships as they once were, but every time I see or hear people I know personally, such as coach Tabellini, Vazzoler and Gracis, it is always pleasant for me. Good memories bind me to your city ».

How much has it changed since then?

«In Treviso I was still a novice boy, now my luggage has certainly been enriched. And I certainly do not forget that the momentum and the beginning of everything for me began with De ‘Longhi ».

“We are in a good moment, even with the change of coach (from Aza Petrovic to Luca Banchi, ed) we are regaining that confidence that was a bit lost at the beginning of the season. Now it is only a question of continuing on this path, even knowing that Treviso is an excellent team, well trained and compact, also because it has kept its core from last year. And above all, it does not have a single player who stands out more than the others but has many elements that can hurt. It will certainly be a good match ».

«Against Varese we imposed our game: trust helps to build good deeds and to make the basket. We worked well during the week so there is a certain amount of confidence on Saturday ». –
