Rivarolese is back to work for next season. On Wednesday 18 August most of the squad of the first team tried again on the synthetic pitch of the Grande Torino playing field for the resumption of athletic training.

The first official match of the new season is set for Sunday 5 September in the Italian Cup, at home against Turin. The championship starts the following week and the grenade team will be involved in an away match on the Turin field of Barcanova.

Gian Marco Stefanetto, who had led the team last year for those few games played until the covid-19 pandemic, was reconfirmed as coach. Same staff as last season, his deputy will always be Roberto Cinetto, athletic trainer Massimiliano Leone.

«We have set up a team for the championship in line with the last few seasons – says president Josè Surace – a team with many young people who grew up in our nursery. Our goal is to stay in the uptown, as we have done in the past few years ».

Here are the first words of the coach Gian Marco Stefanetto: «We got together to get off to a good start right away, not all the players in the squad are here yet, those who are missing will join in the next few days. We have kept the team from last season, we start again and we hope that we can reach the end of the season regularly. The goal is that of last year: to give it my all and stay at the top of the ranking. Group B of the Promotion Championship is always the most balanced and competitive in the category ».

The team will continue training every day until the Coppa Italia match. Some friendlies have already been defined. The first will be played next Sunday 22 August in Chieri against a formation of the same category, the San Giacomo: it will be played in the afternoon, at 5 pm. There will therefore be three other tests, with First category formations. Against Mathi at home on Thursday 26th at 20.30, then on Sunday 29th in Cuorgnè against Vallorco and on September 2nd in Chivasso.
