The second “Beautiful Countryside” Basketball League Finals of Guizhou Province kicks off

The second edition of the “Beautiful Countryside” Basketball League Finals of Guizhou Province began with great enthusiasm at the “Village BA” basketball court in Taipan Village, Taijiang County, Qiandongnan Prefecture. Organized by the Xinhua News Agency, the event saw 9 teams competing in 20 games from April 24th to 27th.

The opening match featured the Qiandongnan Kaili City team facing off against the Anshun City Xixiu District team, drawing nearly 10,000 spectators to the venue and garnering live coverage on various online platforms. The athletes showcased high spirits and intense competition, impressing the audience with their teamwork and impressive plays. The Qiandongnan Kaili City team emerged victorious with a score of 62:54.

Aside from the thrilling basketball action, the event also featured an intangible cultural heritage showcase that integrated local culture, cuisine, and specialties. Cheerleading and artistic performance teams from the participating teams joined forces with ethnic cultural and artistic groups from Qiandongnan Prefecture to entertain the crowd. A market offering “Intangible Cultural Heritage + Food” allowed spectators to indulge in local agricultural products and delicacies.
