Pordenone-Pisa, valid for the 30th round of Serie B, originally scheduled for 2 pm tomorrow in Lignano, will not be played. The game has been postponed to a later date. This is what the Serie B League established yesterday, which accepted the request presented by the neroverde club following the numerous – six – cases of positivity to Covid-19 in the team group. The same company had asked for the meeting to be postponed given the inspection carried out by the Prevention Department of the “Friuli Occidentale” Health Authority: having carried out its investigations, the ASL had ordered the home quarantine until 23 March for all members of the trip to Empoli. There weren’t – and there aren’t – the conditions to take the field. The date of recovery? It has not been set, although it could be Wednesday 14 April. The calendar is tight and there are no big alternatives.

The first case of positivity at Covid-19 was found by Pordenone last Friday, on the eve of the match against breaking latest news. Last Monday, on the eve of the meeting with Empoli, another case. The situation worsened considerably on match day, as the swab cycle detected three other positives from the team group. Finally, another case of positivity, the sixth, the day after the meeting.

The ASL thus carried out its inspection, arranging the default isolation until Tuesday, the day on which a further cycle of tampons will be carried out. Once the results have been obtained, at its discretion (there is no objective criterion), the Prevention Department of the Health Authority may decide whether or not to resume group training. Until 23rd the only trainings allowed will be those in individual form and in your own home.

Pordenone will thus be in the pits for the first time during the season. For Pisa, on the other hand, this is the second time: the Nerazzurri, previously, had missed the match against Frosinone on 30 December due to the high number of positivity among the Ciociari. The same, a few days earlier, had played decimated with their lizards. For Tesser’s team it is a forced stop that came at a really difficult time, given that fourteen are unavailable: six positive players at Covid-19 and eight injured. Against Empoli she had played without thirteen elements, touching the enterprise of snatching a point on the ground of the leaders.

The group will return to the field on Friday 2 April in Brescia. During this period the staff plans to recover not only the positives but also a part of the players stopped in the pits, in order to be able to face the final rush in full force. There is a need, given that the trend is negative (only one point in the last seven matches) and must absolutely be reversed if you want to get the second salvation in a row in Serie B. –
