Yesterday at the “Patrick Baumann” House of Basketball the draw was held that defined the groups of the next edition of the continental event. 52 participating clubs, representing 24 different nations, between the regular season and the Qualification Round, are competing for the continental title, won in the last two seasons by the Spanish team San Pablo Burgos.
Dinamo Banco di Sardegna, now in its tenth continental campaign, will be part of group A together with the Spanish Tenerife, already an opponent last season, the Germans of Mhp Riesen Ludwigsburg and the winner of the six contenders of the Qualification Round between Le Mans, Levski, Hapoel Eilat, Opava, Parma and Prometey.
Brindisi, another Italian already qualified for the regular season, will play group G with Hapoel Holon, Darussafaka and a team from the QR. For Treviso, the only Italian to take part in the Qualification round, possible place in Group B with Aek Athens, Vef Riga and Falco Szombately.
