The Vm Team warms up the engines and prepares the Elba Rallye

The 2021 sporting season has come to life and the Vm Motor Team responds present. Ready for the demanding trip to the “Rallye Elba” scheduled on the Tuscan island from 15 to 17 April. The crew that will represent the Vm colors in the first race of the Wrc Italian Championship will be formed by Pierluigi Maurino and Andrea Bruno who will race on the island’s special stages with a Peugeot 208 R2C entered in the Michelin Rally Cup. Instead, at the Rally Team 971 scheduled in Settimo Torinese on April 17-18 there will be four crews, (plus one in the historic rally). Fabio Becuti and Fabio Gulmini will start with a Renault Clio R3C while Gianluca Pollino and Walter Sbicego will always get on a Renault Clio but in the N3 version. With a Citroen Saxo A6 in the race Rinaldo Ganora and Diego Bonando, between the Racing Starts will leave Richard Babando and Alberto Lupano, on Renault Twingo. Among the historic cars, Alessandro Rozio and Vittorio Bianco with an Opel Corsa Gsi. In the weekend that has just ended, a chiaroscuro balance sheet for the Rallye Sanremo and the Rally delle Palme; Moreno Voltan and Lele Corollo on Renault Clio N3 in the race valid for the zone rally championship, after a positive start, had to abandon due to a problem with the windshield defroster that prevented them from having a safe view of the road. The good news, however, comes from the N1 class, won by Claudio and Giulia Bico with a Peugeot 106. Bad luck also for Mario Cecchini and Jastine Sertori, who retired with their Clio R3C. In the race valid for the absolute tricolor, on the other hand, Marco Petracca and Stefano Bosco (Renault Clio Rally 5 class R1) had a good performance, 8th place among the cars entered in the French single-make trophy 9th place in class.
