The data already chains four consecutive weeks down
The Spanish reservoirs are at 45.8% of their capacity, 0.7 percentage points less than a week ago, with which the water reserve has already chained four consecutive weeks down, according to data from the Ministry for Ecological Transition.
At present, the swamps store 25,652 cubic hectometers (hm³) of water, 427 hm³ less than a week ago, which is equivalent to a decrease of 1.6%.
Compared to a year ago, they keep almost 3% more waterwhile in relation to the average of the last ten years, located at 35,287 hm³, the amount of dammed water in the country is 27.3% lower.
According to the same source, in the last week, rainfall has been abundant on the Mediterranean slope and has affected to a lesser extent the Atlantic slope. The maximum was registered in Pamplona, with 37.6 mm (37.6 l/m²).
One more week, the basins that present a worse state are those of Guadalete-Barbatewhere the reserve falls from 22.4 to 21.7%; Guadalquivir, in which it drops from 23.1 to 22.7%; the one of the Guadiana, where they fall from 29.7 to 29%; the inmates of Cataloniawhere it remains at 30.6%, and Andalusian Mediterranean, in which it decreased from 32.5 to 31.9%.
On the other side of the table are Eastern Cantabrian (89 %) y Occidental (90.2%); the internal basins of the Basque Country (76,2 %) y Galicia Costa (72,1 %).
