Leo Messi Denies Fake News About His Son Mateo

Argentinian football star, Leo Messi, is known for his reserved nature when it comes to addressing rumors or news about himself. However, when it involves his family, particularly his wife Antonela Roccuzo and their three children, Messi doesn’t hold back.

Recently, a media outlet in Argentina spread a ‘fake’ quote attributed to Messi regarding his son Mateo. The quote claimed that Messi had said, “There are several academies in America that wanted to sign Mateo, but I registered him in Miami. He has talent and I think he resembles my style when he was young.”

Upon seeing this misinformation circulating online, Messi took to social media to set the record straight. In a brief and direct response, Messi denied ever making such a statement, stating, “This is false, I never said that.”

While it is true that Messi’s sons, Thiago and Mateo, are currently training at the Inter Miami youth academy, Messi clarified that he never claimed that other academies were pursuing his children or that they have a playing style similar to his own when he was young.

As one of the world‘s top footballers with a massive following on social media, Messi’s denial quickly put an end to the false narrative. This incident serves as a reminder that even celebrities like Messi are not immune to false news and rumors, and they will not hesitate to speak out when their family’s privacy is invaded.
