by admin

COURMAYEUR. Vichthory with new record: Franco Collé returns master of the Tor des Géants and dominates in 66 hours 43 minutes and 57 seconds, also setting the new record of the Valle d’Aosta Endurance Trail, which until now belonged to the Basque Javi Dominguez (67 hours 52’15 ”). The Swiss Jonas Russi was no longer able to keep up with the Valle d’Aosta, who made the difference in the long descent towards Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses, where did he go all alone. Then the last effort of the TOR330, the ascent to Malatrà and the long descent to Courmayeur. It arrived in the middle of the night, at 4:43 am and in pouring rain. For him it is the third success, another record because so far no one has ever succeeded.

Russi gave up on the final, but did not collapse. He arrived in Courmayeur at 7:03 am, second behind Collé. The third position is still in the hands of the Swede Petter Restorp, who left Ollomont at 2 this night. The standard bearer of La Sportiva will arrive in Courmayeur the same day. Silvia Trigueros Garrote is always at the head of the Tor in pink and at 4 she passed through the Cunéy refuge.

The Tot Dret also started last night from Gressoney. It is a challenge entirely between Valle d’Aosta: Gilles Roux took the lead at the Cunéy refuge, after having covered the first section with Henri Grosjacques and Didier Dario Chanoine who are now chasing. Annalisa Faravelli leads the women’s race, ahead of Marie Berna and Marta Ripamonti.
