ARAGON. Motorsport on two wheels is mourning another very young driver. Almost two months after the death of 19-year-old Swiss Jason Dupasquier at Mugello, victim of an accident in the free practice of Moto 3, today in Spain at Aragon during the Cev, Hugo Millán lost his life during race 1 of the European Talent Cup. very young driver, born in 2006, crashed 13 laps from the checkered flag without major consequences. The tragedy occurred a few seconds later: the 14-year-old got up and, in an attempt to get off the track, was hit by the Polish driver Oleg Pawelec who could not do anything to avoid it. The race was immediately stopped to rescue Millan, who was assisted by the runway medical staff and rushed by helicopter to the hospital in Zaragoza. Unfortunately, there was nothing to be done. The Cev competition program was therefore canceled as a sign of respect.

With the death of Hugo Millan, Spanish motorcycling loses one of the most promising young talents. The Andalusian driver from Huelva who would have turned 15 on 13 November was in his third season in the European Talent Cup and was disputing his best championship (second in the standings two poles and four times on the podium in this first part of the season). His idol was compatriot eight times world champion Marc Marquez and he was nicknamed “Iceman” for his coolness on the bike. He was part of the Cuna de Campeones team.
