Eve hours for one of the most anticipated debuts of the running season in the natural environment: tomorrow in Vittorio Veneto the curtain rises on the Trail dei Cimbri, an off-road race organized by the Marathon School, which will see over 400 athletes at the start. There are two routes, both with departure and arrival in the suggestive Serravalle. The shortest – 25 km with 1700 meters of altitude difference – will climb to Monte Pizzoc, skirting the Cansiglio forest with its Cimbri villages. It will be a track almost entirely in “single track”, with a first part of the race uphill and a second part all downhill, in an environment that changes constantly and will offer enchanting views. The longest – 50 km with 3000 meters in altitude – goes from Monte Pizzoc into the splendid beech forest of Cansiglio until it almost reaches Pian Osteria, and then returns (crossing over into the province of Pordenone) on the paths that lead to Crosetta and rejoin the track. short, before the final dive. –
