Man attacks the police in Pilcante, a fraction of Ala, in Trentino
Trento, 9 April 2021 – He lashed out with hatchet in hand against a carabiniere, and was killed. A 44-year-old offender, living in Pilcante, a hamlet of Ala, in Trentino, died after being hit by a bullet that exploded from the service weapon of a soldier chasing him.
The man, after not having stopped at a halt during a road check, fled chased by the carabinieri. Although the military did not reach him immediately, they managed to trace his home and showed up at the door. The 44-year-old, however, was waiting for them holding a hatchet and would have thrown himself against the car and the carabinieri, at which point one of the soldiers reacted by shooting and killing him.
