UDINE. Luca Gotti’s future on the Udinese bench is increasingly in the balance. The defeat of Empoli, and the way in which it matured, after closing the first half ahead – as had happened three days earlier with Lazio – seem to have definitively cracked the relationship between the Pozzo family and the coach.
According to what Ansa learns, there could be news in the next few hours: talks are still underway with the coach in charge, but numerous alternative paths are also being explored.
In pole position in the last few hours it seems to have taken Dejan Stankovic, who knows the environment having been deputy to Andrea Stramaccioni a few years ago.
A Nerazzurri “derby” with Walter Zenga, a coach who has been repeatedly compared to Pozzo in the past, is possible, while Maran and Giampaolo are more secluded.
There are also rumors of a surprise track, which would lead to an emerging Spanish technician.
