UEFA opens disciplinary investigation for the post-match Bodo-Roma: the Giallorossi goalkeeper’s coach attacked

Uefa has decided to open an investigation and investigate what happened after the match between Bodo and Roma in Norway, the first leg of the Conference League quarter-finals. This was announced by the governing body of European football after the report of an attack by the coach of the home team, Kjetil Knutsen, to the trainer of the Giallorossi goalkeepers, the Portuguese Nuno Santos. Bodo, on the other hand, in his reconstruction said that it was his coach who was attacked.

The Norwegian police would also intervene on the spot and then referred all decisions to UEFA. “In accordance with Article 31 (paragraph 4) of the Uefa Disciplinary Regulations”, explains Uefa in the note, “a Uefa Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector was appointed to conduct a disciplinary investigation on the reported incidents that would have occurred at the end of the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League 2021/22 between Bodo Glimt and AS Roma, match played on 7 April 2022 in Norway. Information on this will be made available in due course ». The second leg of the quarterfinals is scheduled at the Olimpico next Thursday.
