Union Assembly: 46 yes and 7 no, green light to the Belluno Dolomites

Yesterday the last obstacle was bypassed. The new board of directors will consist of fifteen executives and not the twelve initially planned

Call it Dolomiti Bellunesi. Union Feltre, Belluno and San Giorgio Sedico are definitely a memory of Belluno football. There is no turning back.

The last obstacle was represented yesterday by the shareholders’ meeting of the verdegranata company, but ultimately the difference in votes was overwhelming: 46 in favor of a change of name and 7 against, out of the 53 voters between present and proxies.

FROM UNION TO THE DOLOMITES

The transition was particularly delicate as the high number of shareholders did not allow the approval to be taken for granted. Those from Feltre had to give their assent to the change of name of the Union Feltre in Dolomiti Bellunesi, with the relocation of the headquarters to Belluno and the adoption of the new colors: white the main one, to remember the snow, gray and pink those of the second shirts symbolizing respectively the natural color of the mountains and their hue at sunset.

In the process of merger, it should be remembered, it will be the now former Union Feltre to absorb the other two within itself. There seems to have been some disputes, dictated in particular, according to some, by the late involvement of the members and by not having thought of alternative solutions to keep football alive in Feltre. Once the verdegranata assembly was completed, the members of Belluno and San Giorgio Sedico were involved.

A detail illustrated at the end of the evening by Davide Fent, lawyer and director of the now former Feltre Board of Directors, as well as almost certainly new director of the Belluno Dolomites.

«The new members are 41, in addition to our 59. One is from Union Feltre, that is Dario Cremonese, eleven from the San Giorgio Sedico area and twenty-nine from the Belluno area. Each will have an equal share of 200 euros each. So right now we have 100 members. After that, for anyone who likes to be part of the association, there are no particular problems: just call the assembly and increase the share capital. Indeed, this is exactly what we are hoping for, assuming a widespread involvement of the territory ».

The board of directors changes with respect to the provisions. His training will take place later, it must be said. However, he will not see the twelve people inside as assumed at the beginning, but fifteen. Consequently, one addition per team: there will be a total of five people from the Belluno area, five from the San Giorgio Sedico area and five from the Union Feltre area. The appointment of a president with a two-year mandate, exponent of an area, with the two deputy exponents of the other two is envisaged.

The changes will take place in rotation (for example, a president of “Belluno”, a president of “Union Feltre”, a president of “San Giorgio Sedico” and so on).

Livio Gallio seems the number one suspect, with Nicola Giusti one of the two deputies. Among other things, it seems one of the disputes raised against Giusti during the assembly was his desire to disengage himself in Feltre and immediately afterwards to assume this burden in Belluno. In any case, the vote has started a new chapter of provincial football.
