[Epoch Times, February 20, 2022]On Sunday (February 20), the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics ended. After 16 days of competition, a total of 327 medals were decided, including 109 gold medals, 109 silver medals and 109 bronze medals.
Norway leads any other country with 16 gold medals and 37 medals, and has become the country with the most gold medals ever at a single Winter Olympics.
On the last day of the Winter Olympics on Sunday, five gold medals were expelled, each as follows:
Alpine skiing: Austria wins in mixed team parallel giant slalom;
Snowmobile: Germany’s Francesco Friedrich wins the men’s foursome. He previously won his third Olympic title in the tandem snowmobile race on February 15.
Cross-country skiing: Norway’s Therese Johaug won gold in the women’s 30km group start free skate. This is Johaog’s third gold medal at the Olympics, after winning the women’s 10km regular race and the 7.5km + 7.5km double pursuit.
Curling: The British women’s team won the championship;
Ice hockey: Finnish men’s team wins gold.
