Now with Vercelli we are playing for third place and we have four points ahead of them. If we win next Sunday we will be sure to make the playoff with the third of the other group ».

On Sunday at the Palaburgo di San Mauro Usac Rivarolo against Zerouno Libertas San Mauro won 52-63 (progressive partial of the quarterfinals 12-18; 39-33, 47-44). The match is decided in the last quarter. Here the defense of Usac made the difference. The San Mauro in the last period has made just five points, against nineteen of the rivarolesi. Encounter saw a good start from Usac who managed to close the first quarter ahead by six lengths, thanks to the precision in the three-pointers and free throws. The locals, however, turned the tide of the match in the second quarter with 27 points, of which four three-pointers. The resumption of the game after the long interval sees the two teams scoring little in the third quarter ended with the run of 8-11 and Usac goes to minus three when there are ten minutes from the final siren on the momentary score of 47-44. In the last fraction the Usac almost immediately manages to move forward in the score (47-48), the San Mauro reaches parity at 51-51, but from that moment on there is only more Usac that builds thanks to a partial of 1-12 success in your favor. The best scorer of the match was Giacomo Sartore, who scored 17 points, but three other Usac players finished in double figures: Gian Mauro Pucci 13, Alessandro Bianco 11 and Vittorio Ferraresi 10.
