Strasbourg, 25 August 2021 – Theobligation to get vaccinated against Covid is allowed, explains the European Court of Human Rights of Strasbourg. The international court has today rejected an appeal presented by 672 fra fire fighters professionals and volunteers against the French law which requires them to be vaccinated against Covid-19. The appeal was made against the law of 5 August last. In its decision the Strasbourg Court ruled that the procedure of suspensive request it does not fall within the scope of Article 39 of its regulation “which allows suspension with an urgent procedure when i applicants are exposed to “a real risk of irreparable damage “.

The Court thus intervenes, indirectly, in a controversy that is growing somewhat in all European countries, including Italy, between those who are in favor of the mandatory vaccine and those who are against it.

L’epidemiologa

The epidemiologist just this morning Stefania Salmaso at Agorà estate on Rai 3 he said: “The regulatory framework is not up to me to say how it must be done, but of course vaccination should be extended as far as possible. And then, in reality, the vaccination obligation in Italy it already exists for adults in certain professions and for children. And it is a right to health guaranteed by the state, it is not an imposition. So from this point of view on the vaccination obligation, in my opinion, in these conditions there is a margin to be able to consider it as a useful tool “.
