Milan, 9 June 2022 – At the end the accusations of racism and homophobia made by the fans of the Valencia towards Rino Gattuso they did not change Spanish society’s mind. The former Milan has in fact been made official as the new coach. Arrived last night in the city (“I’m very happy, it’s the first time I’m in Valencia and I’m happy and proud. I signed a contract with a club that has a lot of history”, his first words at the airport), the coach Calabrian has signed a two-year contract, thus becoming the third Italian after Claudio Ranieri (2004/2005 season) e Cesare Prandelli (three months in the 2016/2017 season) to sit on the ‘Murcielagos’ bench. For Gattuso, on the other hand, this is the third experience abroad after those in Switzerland at Sion and in Greece at OFI Creta.
