CAGLIARI. First among the double crews. After the success in Rome for two, “Vento di Sardegna” with Andrea Mura and Daniela Faranna on board gives an encore. The Quattro Mori Open 50 crossed the finish line in front of everyone in the 13th edition of the 151 Miglia-Trofeo Cetilar, the offshore regatta organized by a committee of clubs formed by the Yacht Club Maritime Republic of Pisa, Yacht Club Punta Ala and Yacht club Livorno.

«It was a marvelous but exhausting regatta due to the little initial and final wind with strong wind near Capo Corso – says Andrea Mura, flanked in the cockpit by his wife Daniela -. Extremely variable and unstable weather conditions, especially in the middle of the islands of the Tuscan archipelago, which did not allow me to rest even for a minute for about 30 hours. It was a beautiful seafaring gym ». A demanding regatta, the 151 miles, which winds on a breathtaking course, which from the Tyrrhenian coast led the colorful fleet, made up of over 200 boats, to the islet of Giraglia, before heading towards the Isola d ‘ Elba and the Ants of Grosseto and end with an arrival in Punta Ala.

«Beyond the difficulties linked to the weather conditions, characterized at times by the calm, it was wonderful to sail in the archipelago of the Tuscan islands. Thanks also to the help of my wife Daniela, I managed to complete the regatta, crossing the finish line after 28 hours of navigation. Once again “Vento di Sardegna”, despite being by now dated and in a state of decay waiting to participate in the World Tour, sponsors permitting, responded well, proving to be still competitive ».
