Voghe, Cavaliere confirms Giacomotti “I would like to stay”. Then attack on the stadium

Football Excellence. The president: «Great year, but playoffs to win. At Parisi the young people, not the Viqueria ”

he boss

The playoffs are very close, the renewed trust in Mr. Giacomotti and the growth prospects in the youth field, with the hypothesis of a move to Milan of the baby business. Vogherese patron Oreste Cavaliere touches on various themes of the Rossoneri’s current affairs, starting from the excellent progress of the team. «We are not mathematically in the playoffs yet, so let’s keep our feet firmly on the ground and concentrate on the last three games. Of course, we made an extraordinary journey, with regret for the first four games without a win and for the two penalty points. If we look at the six games we lost, they are defeats that matured around the 90th minute, when there was no material time to recover. At the camp, they see me less and less, so it means that I am extremely happy. I have full confidence in the work of Mr. Giacomotti and the sports director Riceputi, they give me great serenity in managing the group ». A satisfaction that accompanies Giacomotti’s confirmation for next season: «I’d like to continue with this project. The results speak for him, and I would add that Massimo is a wonderful person ». In the brilliant Voghe season, another reason for pride is linked to the enthusiasm of the public, always close to the team, with the peak of the thousand spectators who packed Parisi in the derby with Pavia: “Derby aside, which is always a match warm, we always feel our fans close to us, both at home and away and I believe that today people are happy to come to see this team. The mentality of our audience has also changed, they go to the pitch with the conviction that they can win against anyone », underlines Cavaliere.

Stop at Viqueria

In the plans of the Via Facchinetti club, the expansion of the youth sector is of significant importance. On this issue, the number one in via Facchinetti reluctantly notes the lack of suitable structures in the city: «For the next season, we will also dedicate ourselves to pre-competitive activities, for the little ones. We now manage the Casei Gerola, Pontecurone, Zerbolò and Medassino plants, but we want to expand. These days, I am signing an agreement for the management of a sports center in Milan, where the players of the Vogherese of the future will be able to grow. The idea of moving to Milan does not arise from the desire to move away from Voghera, but unfortunately I have taken note that here there are no spaces to be allocated to our youth sector. With the municipal administration, relations are cordial, I never asked them for anything. As a company, we want to grow and if it is not possible to do so in Voghera, due to lack of space, it is normal that I can look elsewhere, so I move to Milan, the city where I live. In the past, we had thought about the idea of using the Parisi stadium for the training of our little players, but then the Municipality preferred to have the Viqueria play at the stadium as well. The stadium is owned by the Municipality – concludes the Rossoneri owner – but surely next season I will make more resistance on the fact that Viqueria can play at Parisi, with the intention of using the stadium for our basic activity ». –
