Too much Olympia for Virtus Prochemistry. In the playoff semifinal of the B1 women’s championship the Genoese beat PalaSarselli by winning 3-0 (partial at 15, 19 and 21). The initial sextet of coach Stefano Colombo foresees Mariottini dribbling with Mo diagonally; El Hajjam and Fragonas in the band, Zecchini and Fornara the power plants, with Baratella free. On the other hand, the Ligurian coach Matteo Zanoni proposes Allasia in the control room with Montedoro opposite; Gatti and Bilamour in the band, Antonaci and Arrighetti in the middle, the free is Zannino.
The black fuchsia seems contracted and the beginning is all uphill with the ace of Bilamour (2-5) and the wall suffered by Fragonas (3-8) that immediately forces the home technician to call time-out, with the Olympia good at placing a 6-0 run. At 3-12 an off Fragonas leaves the field to Walther, who immediately goes to the ground. Mo damages his soul, defends and finally on 6-13 he enters his name in the scoreboard. On 8-16 Colombo throws Graziola and Frascarolo into the fray, changing the diagonal dribble-opposite. But the fraction is on ice and ends 19-25. The third set is the most balanced, even if it thrives on partials and against partials (from 6-10 and 12-10 then from 13-11 to 13-17). At 21-21 the run-up to the fourth set stops and Olympia have half a foot in the final.
