Recently, Wang Haifeng, representative of the 13th Provincial Party Congress and Heilongjiang Forestry Design and Research Institute, launched a publicity activity in his unit, conveying the spirit of the Provincial Party Congress to the hearts of party members and cadres as soon as possible.
Wang Haifeng was born in 1988. He is not too old, but he has been engaged in the ice and snow industry for more than ten years. He is a witness and witness of the development of ice and snow in Longjiang in recent years. Since 2010, she has been recommended by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Harbin Municipal Government every year to represent China in overseas competitions and has won many honors. She has completed provincial scientific research projects and won many national patents.
In 2020, he was awarded the title of “Longjiang Craftsman” by the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions; he represented the Chinese team in various international ice and snow sculpture competitions and won many awards; he became the party representative of the 13th Provincial Party Congress… Behind these honors, Wang Haifeng has experienced many unknown ups and downs.
Wang Haifeng was still a little excited when he recalled the first time he went abroad to compete. At that time, she took a letter of recommendation from the Foreign Affairs Office of the Harbin Municipal Government and led her ice and snow team to go abroad to compete. Wang Haifeng and her ice and snow team, who went abroad for the first time, gradually integrated into the “International Ice and Snow Family”, and their language progressed very quickly, and everything went very smoothly. But one afternoon in the middle of the game, Wang Haifeng received a call from his father, saying that his grandfather who loved him the most “left”. Her first reaction was to immediately buy a ticket to go home to send her grandpa’s last ride. But her father said on the other end of the phone, “Don’t worry about the competition, Grandpa will definitely cheer for you on the other side of the sky.” With grief in her heart, she still insisted on completing the competition. Wang Haifeng’s team finally won the fourth place.
In the process of participating in the competition, Wang Haifeng encountered various difficulties, but with her love for ice and snow sculptures, she broke them one by one.
During a competition, Wang Haifeng accidentally pierced her toe with a snow fork because of her physical exhaustion. The blood instantly stained her snow boots, but she still chose to continue the competition with her teammates. When the golden medal was in her hand, the joy of success made her forget the pain. When competing in the Canadian arctic region, it was minus 39 degrees Celsius during the day, and she had to work 10 hours a day, but when she saw the beautiful aurora at night, the fatigue of the day disappeared.
In the face of difficulties, she did not flinch; in the face of pain, she was fearless. It is also the tempering of these experiences that Wang Haifeng’s ice and snow sculpture career has gradually improved.
After years of accumulated experience, exchange and learning in domestic and foreign competitions, the team led by Wang Haifeng often discusses the styles of domestic and foreign works, the differences in carving skills, etc., and the themes and skills of their own works have gradually improved. In February 2018, on behalf of China Heilongjiang Forestry Design and Research Institute, she went to the United States to participate in the International Snow Sculpture Competition under the recommendation of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Harbin Municipal Government. After fierce competition, the team led by Wang Haifeng finally won the second place, which is the highest award the Chinese team has won in this event.
In recent years, due to the epidemic, Wang Haifeng has led the team to undertake indoor and outdoor ice and snow projects, cooperated with colleges and universities to apply, won the bid for provincial scientific research projects, actively researched and obtained various national patents related to ice and snow, and published national C-level works. Transform the team into a diversified ice and snow team to achieve a qualitative leap.
Wang Haifeng also serves as the deputy secretary general of the Ice and Snow Sculpture Art Committee of the Provincial Artists Association, a senior researcher of the Ice and Snow Art Professional Committee of the Chinese Ice and Snow Art Committee, and the deputy secretary general of the Ice and Snow Branch of the Provincial Art Design Association. He has been contributing to the promotion of Longjiang ice and snow. with its own strength.
