The fifth and last day of the second round of the first category regional bowls championship took place.

Of our three clubs, only the success of San Bernardo Ivrea in group B is to be recorded; in the same group the Rivarese ended up on the mat while the Sangiorgese in group A observed the rest time.

The final phase of the championship will take place next Saturday, May 14th and will be played both at the Chieri bowling green and in the Tola di Chivasso one. Of the Canavese clubs the only one that will be present is that of San Bernardo Ivrea, in the next few days the draw will take place. San Bernardo Ivrea who returned to success at home at the Strambino bowling alley, clearing the Envie from Cuneo for 16-4.

After the 6-2 lead at the end of the first round, the San Bernardo stretches again in the central round by imposing himself in both precision shots and ends with three more wins in the last four traditional games.

Rivarese, on the other hand, closes the championship with another defeat away to Grugliasco, surrendering narrowly against a team that had to win to hope to enter the final phase. These are the results of the fifth day of return; in group A: Sandamianese-Le Carreau Aosta 14-7; Marene bocce-Alpini Trofarello 11-9; Sangiorgese rested. This the classification: Marene bocce 11 points, Alpini Trofarello 10, Sandamianese 8, Le Carreau 6, Sangiorgese 5.

In group B: San Bernardo Ivrea-Envie 16-4; Pro Grugliasco-Rivarese 11-9; the Roretese rested. This the ranking: Roretese 12 points, San Bernardo Ivrea 11, Pro Grugliasco 8, Envie 7, Rivarese 2. –
