A lot of desire and enthusiasm to finally go back to running a trail and to compete for the victory. This is the festive atmosphere that was breathed yesterday, Sunday 23 May, at the third edition of the Paraj Auta national foot race, in Pavone, the first Uisp trail of 2021 in Canavese, won by Daniel Borgesa (1h11’03 ” ) of the Valsusa Running Team, as regards the longest route of 16 km, and by Fabio Novaria (45’55 ”), instead, of the Pont-Saint-Martin Podistica for the shorter route of 8 km.

At the start, 143 runners, of which 50 engaged in the short route, who, according to the new methods dictated by Covid-19, started in batches and had to wear a mask compulsorily both for the first 500 meters and on arrival. There was no lack of entertainment throughout the race, with the ranking of the runners participating in the longest competition that saw in second place Mikael Mongiovetto, runner of the Polisportiva Sant’Orso Aosta, who closed the test in 1h13’17 ”, while on the lowest step of the podium was Vito Daniele Balice of Canavese Aps, with the final time of 1h18’16 ”.

Completing the absolute top ten are: Paolo Fasciano (Running Dora Baltea, 1h20’50 ”), Fabio Alfieri (individual athlete, 1h23’01 ”), Gianluca Chisso (Running Tapporosso Turin, 1h24’12 ”), Chiara Giovando ( Atletica Monterosa, 1h24’41 ”), Federico Colombatto (Atletica Cafasse, 1h24’48 ”), Diego Rossini (Running Aldo Berardo, 1h26’20 ”) and Claudio Giovannini (Polisportiva Dilettantistica Bairese, 1h26’54 ”) .
